We are members of the EU network of excellence:
 `` Biosimulation
 - A New Tool in Drug Development''.
Formerly, we were members of a
European Science Foundation (ESF)
Collaborative Research Programme:
REACTOR: Nonlinear Chemistry in Complex Reactors:
Models and Experiments
The group has been a part of the SNF initiative on Functional
 Dynamics in Complex Biosystems.
Formerly, it was connected to CATS,
the Center for Chaos and Turbulence Studies at Univ. of Cph. and the
 Technical University of Denmark.
 An ESF REACTOR workshop on
Methods for Realistic Modelling of Large and Complex
Chemical Systems was held May 30 to June 2, 2002.
 A minisymposium on
Microtubule Dynamics and Protein Waves in E. coli was held May 24-25, 2002.
 A workshop
on glycolysis was held February 1-2, 2002.
 A workshop
on glycolysis was held December 8 -9, 2000.
 A summer school on nonlinear
dynamics in biology was held April 25 - May 11, 2000.
We have also been involved in the
Graduate School in Nonlinear Science,
sponsored by the Danish Research Academy.
Our group studies nonlinear dynamics and bifurcations in chemical
and biochemical systems. Pattern formation, chaos and chemical turbulence
are studied both theoretically and experimentally. Quenching analysis is a
powerful tool for solving complicated problems because
it provides kinetically relevant quantitative data
for an entire oscillating reaction at its actual working point.
Turbulence and Spiral Motion in the Complex Ginzburg-Landau Equation are
studied for particular chemical systems. Pattern formation
in morphogenesis is modelled based on Turing's reaction-diffusion theory.
