Transport of electrons.

Abstract

Electron transfer occur on timescales from femtoseconds to seconds, at distance scales from less than 1 Åto more than 20 Å. This type of chemical reaction occur in physical, chemical, biological and materials systems. Electron transfer is important in reaction mechanisms and photosynthesis, energy transduction, in catalysis and copy machines.

We consider the effects of reorganization energies, activation barriers, electronic factors, electronic pathways, vibronic effects, time-dependent inertial polarization.
